I've spend over 30 years in court and in negotiations advocating for my clients. Injured people are frequently rushed into taking whatever settlement is first handed to them without the invaluable advice of an attorney. Here are a few of the key cases we've won and why they are significant.
Capital Management Company vs. Charles A Brown
This client was a pedestrian who was struck by a fire escape. The management company offered their "best offer" of $50,000 before trial. We obtained for him a jury verdict of $1,350,000. (813 A.2d 1094)
State Farm vs. Larry Washington and LeShawn Washington
We represented a young accident victim against State Farm Insurance company which refused any payment because he was an excluded driver on the "liability" part of the insurance policy. State Farm attempted to limit his right to uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage. The Supreme Court ruled that portion of the insurance policy invalid, giving our client the right to obtain the policy benefit. (641 A.2d 449)
Timblin vs. Kent General Hospital
This medical malpractice case was lost by another attorney. We appealed the case and a new trial was ordered. We represented the plaintiff at that trial and won a jury verdict or $1,500,000 for our client . (640 A.2d 1021)
